Dal Lake
Sprawling across 8 km in length and 4 km in width, the stunning Dal Lake is surrounded with snow capped mountains offering arresting views. You can enjoy a shikara ride (traditional boats) on the lake. Watching sunset on the lake is a sight to behold. The edges of the lake are lined with houseboats where you can even enjoy a stay.
Nagin Lake
It is a lovely lake with placid water and is surrounded with amazing flowerbeds and groves of chinar, willow and poplar.
Jama Masjid
Built by Sultan Sikandar in 1400 AD, the Masjid reflects architectural beauty and arresting artwork. It boasts of around 370 wooden pillars. It’s a great place to visit.
Shankaracharya Temple
Located on the Takht-e-Suleiman hill, Shankaracharya Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is highly revered by the Hindus and is the oldest temple in the Kashmir valley.
