Jagannath Temple Puri

Puri, a place where the name of god flows in air, is a perfect destination for Hindu devotees and is one of the Char Dhams. Jagannath Temple
Dedicated to Lord Jagannath, one of the forms of Lord Vishnu, the sacred temple is among Char Dhams and is one with the highest faith. Situated in the heart of the holy city Puri, the Hindu pilgrimage stands on the Nilgiri Hill with 20 foot high walls in surroundings.  The sacred temple houses a wood carved idol, replaced every 12 years with celebration in Rath Yatra. The temple welcomes thousands of devotees across the world.

Puri Beach
With pleasant surroundings, the sacred beach is located on the shores of Bay of Bengal. The beach also offers a perfect opportunity to witness sunrise and sunset. The place is also known for sand art, fishing and bathing.

Konark Temple
Counted among seven wonders of India, Sun temple was build by King Narsimhadeva I. Also called as ‘Black Pagoda’ , the temple is known for its architectural grandeur and sculpture work. Dedicated to Sun God, the temple has been designed as a chariot with 24 wheels with elaborated carvings and inscriptions of women figure, animals and birds.

Gundicha Ghar Temple
Located right next to the Jagannath Temple, Gundicha Ghar Temple is built in kalinga style. The majestic temple is a marvel of architecture, stone carving and figure inscriptions. The holy temple is a common place during annual car festival known as ‘Rath Yatra’.

Chilka Wildlife Sanctuary
Spread across 1100sq km, the Sanctuary is one of the major wildlife preservation centers in Orissa. Located by Chilka lake, the sanctuary is not only provides natural habitat to various flora and fauna but is also a photographer’s delight. The spot is also known for its dynamic sunrise and sunset view.
