Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Delhi - Kalka (Shatabdi Train @ 0740 / 1145 hrs A/C Chair Car)
Kalka – Shimla (Toy Train)
Transfer to the railway station to board the train to Kalka.On arrival board toy train to Shimla & transfer to the hotel for check in. Shimla; Spilling over the steep slopes of a 12 km ridge, in the lower Himalayas, is Shimla , the summer capital of erstwhile British India. Now the capital of the state of Himachal Pradesh, it evokes a sense of nostalgia with its pretty gabled cottages, half-timbered
Buildings and old churches. The Mall is agog with elegant shops and bustling, gay cosmopolitan crowds. In the center of the city is the famous scandal point. The Ridge is a place where all tourist flock and spend time.
Rest of the day at leisure and walk around The Mall area.
Overnight Hotel- Shimla (B)
Day 02: Shimla Day Excursion to Kufri & Narkanda
Post breakfast proceed for day excursion to Kufri & Narkanda.
Kufri; Some great Hiking, some skiing, some beautiful scenes and a cool environment that's what Kufri is all about. It is famous for its trekking and hiking trails. Adventure-seeking travelers throng Kufri in winters to enjoy skiing and tobogganing along its snow-covered slopes.
Narkanda; Situated at an attitude of 2708 meters on the Hindustan Tibet road (NH - 22), Narkanda offers a spectacular view of snow ranges. This is an ideal retreat for the tourists who seek seclusion in mountains. It commands an unique view of the eternal snow line, the inviting apple orchards and dense forests. Later back to hotel Shimla.
Viceregal Lodge; the imposing six-storey edifice, which is today the institute for advanced studies,
Jakhu hills; the highest point of Shimla with a famous temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman.
St. Micheal's Cathedral; on the Ridge, is regarded as the second oldest church in north India and is known for its fine stained glass windows. Explore Christ Church, Shimla State Museum.
Rest of the day at leisure and walk around The Mall area.
Overnight Hotel Shimla (B)
Day 03: Shimla– Chandigarh (120 Kms / 2-3 Hrs)
Chandigarh - Delhi (Kalka Shatabdi @ 1823 / 2155 Hrs)
Morning free to walk around the Mall area.
Transfer to Chandigarh railway station to board the train to onward journey.

Generally all are good except that in shimla. Silverine hotel is not a suitable hotel for elderly people as they need to walk up and downhill to the hotel….though the place is ideal for shoppers -

Many thanks for putting together a wonderful and memorable vacation for us. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We did not find anything lacking from your side. It was our first visit to India and it seems like we are already planning to be back. The pace was hectic so we did not find much time to visit the local markets which we will have to make up next time -
We reached home safely on Sunday morning (USA time) and slept most of the day. I cannot thank you enough for all your help and efforts in making our trip such a wonderful success. We waited almost two years to meet again and it was well worth it. Everybody had a fantastic time and loved every moment of it.
