Day 01: Delhi - Amritsar (Amritsar SHTBDI @ 0720/ 1335 Hrs A/C Chair Class)
Transfer to New Delhi railway station to board the train to Amritsar. Upon arrival, after traditional Indian style ‘Swagat’ (Welcome) by Exceptional Escapes representative, he would assist you at the airport & transfer to hotel for check in.

Amritsar; known for its Golden Temple, the most revered and sacred shrine of the Sikhs. Literary it means Pool of Nectar. Devotees from all sects of life irrespective of their caste and creed come here to pray. Inside the temple is the Guru Granth Sahib, the Holy Book of the Sikhs, and the 24 hr running kitchen, which feeds about 10,000 pilgrims every day and is run on a voluntary basis. Nearby is Jallianwala Bagh

Later visit Wagha Border; is located at a distance of 28 Kilometres from Amritsar. It is the only border crossing between India and Pakistan. It is an army outpost to protect check intrusion from Pakistan and prevents any Indian from going to Pakistan. Special buses and taxes from Amritsar take the tourists to Wagah Border. En route Wagha the tourist chance upon seeing some of the most fertile lands of Amritsar.

Observe and experience the evening witness closing ceremony of Granth Sahib, Sikh holy book being carried to its night lodging by a palanquin at Golden Temple.

Day 02:Amritsar - Delhi (Swarna SHATABDI @ 1650 /2305 Hrs)
Post breakfast Golden temple visit by local English speaking knowledgeable guide:

Golden Temple: Golden Temple is the seat of the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, the religious governing body of the Sikhs. The building of the Akal Takht was begun by Guru Arjan Dev and completed in 1609 by Guru Hargobind.

Jallianwala Bagh; (now a Memorial), where during the British rule in India, General Dyer opened fire on innocent people on 13th April 1919. The place is now a National Monument and its walls still bear the bullet marks of the tragedy.

Rest of the Day at leisure for independent activities.

Intime transfer to railway station to board the train to Delhi taking back an exceptional experience.
