Badkhal Lake
This famous lake of historical importance lies in the Faridabad district of Haryana. It is situated at a strategic location since the battle of Kurukshetra happened in the Mahabharata. The state also paves way to different wonderful locations. It serves as the weekend getaway travelled by vacationers of Delhi who enjoy boating, angling and swimming here.

Kurukshetra
Being the battled ground of Mahabharata, Kurukshetra has a long history to recite. It is considered as the sacred place where Lord Krishna gave a sermon on Geeta to Arjuna. Other spots to visit are Sannihit Sarovar, Brahma Sarovar and Thaneswar Tirtha.

Dumdama Lake
Picnic lovers can choose the Dumduma Lake which is settled among the lush green surroundings. Having Aravali hills as its backdrop, the lake also offers tourists to enjoy canoeing, kayaking and angling.

Surajkund
Built in the 10th century, Surajkund is a must visit attraction with Surajkund Lake as its highlight. The town also receives a huge footfall during the Annual Art and Craft Mela.

Panchkula
The city is known for a temple, dedicated to Goddess Shakti who is revered as the consort of Lord Shiva. It was built by the Maharaja of Patiala on the occasion of celebrate his victory and still attracts tourists.

Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary
If you wish to spend time among the innocent creatures of God then head to the Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary. It shelters various bird species including the migratory ones. The place attracts many birdwatchers and biologists from around the world.
